Citizen mourning proclaimed for the death of Denis Trento – La Prima Linea

While waiting for the authorization from the prosecutor’s office for the funeral ceremony, the mayor of La Salle, Loris Salice, has proclaimed city mourning on the day in which the funeral of Denis Trento will take place, 42 years old in a month, ski mountaineering champion, mountain guide and athlete-instructor of the Army-CSE Sports Center died yesterday in an accident on the Testa del Paramont.

In the ordinance Salice expresses “condolences and closeness to his children and wife Fabienne, to the Trento and Chanoine families, to all relatives and friends, expressing, in a virtuous embrace, the warmth of the entire La Salle community”.

And there are now hundreds of messages of condolence on social media to Denis’s family: “All the Valle d’Aosta mountain guides join the family in this moment of great pain”, writes the Union of Valle d’Aosta high mountain guides-Uvgam but there are really many who remember the ‘man “champion in sport as in life”; “spontaneous, good, humble, who lived free and full of dreams”, with an “over the top ability to make mountaineering a refined art”. “For me you were more than a mountain guide, every time I take a step in the mountains I will remember you”.
