(mi-lorenteggio.com) Milan, 4 May 2024. “I was on-site inspection of the Palasharp, abandoned to its fate under the left-wing councils since 2012, and I noted a situation of illegal construction and degradation whereby the Pd and comrades win the gold medal for detachment. The facility, which should have been renovated to host the Milan-Cortina 2026 women’s ice hockey competitions, is in fact managed by dozens of illegal immigrants who live both in the tent where the Islamic community of Viale Jenner prays on Fridays and around to the structure. They organized themselves with camping tents and mattresses. Some of them told me that they have been there for three years. It recently emerged that a terrorist, arrested on the subway with a knife, was also bivouacking at the Palasharp. The dangerousness of the place and the absolute indifference of the Municipality of Milan are worrying to say the least. Not only was the administration unable to bring the historic building back to life, losing lawsuits and receiving resounding “nos” from private individuals, but it was also so disinterested in it that it allowed it to be transformed into a center of illegality. Just yesterday Mayor Sala still admitted that the Municipality does not know which path to take and that after years of nothing it is still studying the Palasharp dossier. The Lampugnano neighborhood deserves much more in terms of safety and urban decorum.
