Alessandro Chiesa will attempt his second term in Ponte dell’Olio. The outgoing mayor is in fact running again in the elections on 8 and 9 June with the list “Pontolliesi for Ponte“. “After five years of hard work – say the candidates on the list – with the same passion and determination as always we are ready to get involved again, with a cohesive and compact group, at the service of Ponte dell’Olio. We are proud to have managed, despite the years of pandemic and energy and raw materials crisis, to maintain around 90% of the electoral program proposed to the Pontollo residents in 2019. Among the main and most significant points, we have upgraded the lighting to LED public, the sports hall was completed and made more efficient, the headquarters of the Pontollo band was recovered, over one million and 200 thousand euros were invested in roads and hydrogeological instability, the number of places in the nursery school was increased (from 17 to 21), the cultural event was introduced ” InRiva Festival” (recipient of a medal from the Presidency of the Republic) and brought the pediatric service and medical emergency back to the territory”.

“For the next five years, starting from the work carried out and on the basis of realistic financial resources, we intend to continue along the path of maintenance of both the urban and extra-urban territory (pavements, greenery, etc.), modernize the public gardens with the 200 thousand euros state funding of the Internal Areas, confirm strategic social services such as “solidarity caretaker” and youth aggregation center, fully relaunch a decadent heritage such as the “Cementirossi” sports center, implement an extraordinary maintenance plan for municipal cemeteries and, finally, invest in beauty and decorum for an increasingly welcoming and attractive country”. “I am very happy – comments Alessandro Chiesa – to have a group that returns compactly and united, with also three new entries who bring further passion, ability and desire to lend a hand for their community”.
