Starting from Monday 6 May, the assignees of the Sant’Anna gardens, the agricultural area near the Savio river seriously damaged by the flood of 16 May 2023, will return to work the land and carry out all the planned activities. The entire area, recently also affected by an urban regeneration intervention through an afforestation project carried out by the Municipality, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cesena and Arbolia, includes one hundred 40 square meter vegetable gardens for a total surface area of ​​approximately 5000 square metres, including routes and internal areas. The intervention, defined following some inspections carried out as early as June, involved the removal of excess earth and the arrangement of the houses and the fence, with the relative restoration of the toilets. Furthermore, work was carried out along the drainage ditches that run along Via Sant’Anna and the upper embankment of the road, from which the layer of dry mud that prevented the flow of rainwater was removed. Furthermore, at the end of the summer season we will proceed with further interventions regarding the subdivision of the vegetable areas and the installation of new lockers for the tool storage for the assignees.
