A year has passed since the dramatic events that hit the municipal area of ​​Bagnacavallo. The two floods that hit the countryside, homes and businesses have left open problems and many concerns.
There are several initiatives planned to remember what happened.

After the appointment scheduled for the evening of Thursday 2 May by Confcooperative Romagna as part of the Cooperation Festival, with memories and testimonies, on Friday 3 May, anniversary of the first flood, the Parish of Boncellino and the Pastoral Unit of Bagnacavallo invite people to a procession with recitation of the rosary which will start at 8pm from the car park in via Boncellino near Rose e Fiori and travel along via Muraglione up to the embankment, where a mass will be held at 8.45pm with the unveiling of a commemorative plaque.

On Monday 13 May at 8.30 pm the Sala di Palazzo Vecchio will host “Floods, one year later”, an in-depth analysis of the special plans for reconstruction and the compensation process with representatives of the Emilia-Romagna Region, the Province of Ravenna, the Union of Municipalities of Lower Romagna, Western Romagna Reclamation Consortium.

It will continue on Friday 17 May with a dinner shared by the Villanova community at the Casa della Cooperativa, in via Aguta.

The book “Water – Stories of redemption from flood resistance in Romagna”, edited by Ivano Artioli, will be presented on Friday 24 May at 8.30 pm at the Gagliarini library in Villanova.

The initiatives will end on Tuesday 28 May at 6.30 pm at the Capuchin Civic Museum with the event “Emergency and climate sustainability. The effects on heritage and the support of the Arts”. The book “Fai per bene” will be presented, which tells how it was possible to recover 1800 works of art after the flood at the Tramonti Museum in Faenza, and the work “Humus” by Andrea Francolino, donated for the occasion by artist at the Capuchin Civic Museum.

For the entire month of May, in the frames of via Mazzini, near the Carmine church, two images of the work “Stories of mud” created by Stefania Galegati will be exhibited along the Naviglio cycle path.
