The municipal pharmacies of Porto Sant’Elpidio are promoting an educational meeting on the risks linked to sun exposure on Monday 6 May at 9pm at the Beniamino Gigli cultural centre. “Friendly Sun” is the title of the initiative, which will see the participation of dermatologist Gino Mattutini.
An evening to explore the risks of excessive exposure to the sun’s rays and to promote some good practices aimed at preventing health problems and enjoying the summer season by taking care of your skin.
The evening is part of an awareness campaign by the municipal society, to provide the community with some simple suggestions. The application of sun products before reaching the beaches, the advice not to expose oneself to the sun during the hottest hours, to protect children under 3 years of age from the most intense radiation and to limit it to 45 minutes a day, in the first days at the seaside , sun exposure; the suggestion to pay particular attention if you take medications and to pay attention to circumstances that reduce the perception of the sun, from clouds to fresh wind. It is also essential to monitor the skin and contact a dermatologist without delay if you notice changes in the size, shape and color of the moles.

I thank Dr. Gino Mattutini, who promptly expressed his willingness to participate in the evening and will be able to provide valuable advice to citizens”.
