Piazza Progresso was full last night for the concert of VascoRochShow, the band from Catanzaro, led by frontman Massimiliano Iannini, who paid a nice tribute to the national Vasco for over two hours.

From “Alba Chiara” to “Fegato spappolato”, from “Una canzone per te” to “Vivere”, the band made the well-known Blasco songs sing to the many present.

The concert on May 1st inaugurated the shows that the municipal administration organized on the occasion of the May Festival, dedicated to Sant’Angelo.

And the appointment with good music is renewed this evening, when the Licata bands will take to the stage in Piazza Progresso.

Opening the concert will be Rosario Bonaccorsi, aka Nestor, from Catania but now living in Licate for many years, who will perform some solo songs, and then sing some covers of famous pieces with the band Just Madnes.

The group is made up of: Carmelo Saporito on drums, Calogero Pira on bass, Vincenzo Di Bartolo lead guitar and vocals, Massimo Cammilleri on rhythm guitar, Piero De Marco on backing guitar. The extraordinary participation of Giuseppe Greco is expected.

Just Madnes will then leave the stage to Giovanni Sparda, a musician from Licata who has been on the scene for years now, who boasts collaborations with numerous nationally known bands and whose video “Sciabolo” has literally become a hit on social media and among young people.

Satisfaction with how yesterday’s evening went was expressed by Maria Sitibondo, municipal councilor for Sport, Tourism and Entertainment, who coordinates the initiatives of the May Festival and gave everyone an appointment for 9.30pm today, in Piazza Progresso .
