– The Carabinieri of Settimo Torinese – Carabinieri Company of Chivasso – arrested a 54-year-old local man, known to the police, following a house search during which they found a 32 caliber Smith & Wesson pistol (with related ammunition) illegally held and not registered in the database, and two other handguns, one blank (without the red cap) and one gas.
The search took place following a previous intervention by the military to quell a condominium dispute, arising from trivial reasons, between the interested party and a neighbor, during which the 54-year-old had threatened his interlocutor with death , telling him that he would shoot him in the head.
The seriousness of the threats and the man’s specific background led the investigators to proceed with a search of the house, during which they found the weapons that were seized, accompanying him to prison as he was seriously suspected of the crime of illegal possession of common weapons from gunshot. Furthermore, the interested party was charged with the crime of resisting a public official based on his violent behavior towards the soldiers operating during the search operations. The arrest was subsequently validated by the Court of Ivrea which ordered house arrest.
