“Thanks to the proposal of the Minister for Civil Protection Nello Musumeci, the government has approved a further allocation of 88 million 500 thousand to the Tuscany Region, intended for various needs related to reconstruction, following the flood that hit some territories hard in last November. This tranche of funds, established following the reconnaissance of our territories by technicians of the Civil Protection department, is added to the previous allocations for Tuscany by the government, almost 345 million since the beginning of the emergency for families, industry, agriculture and exporting companies. In particular, the 88 million and 500 thousand euros approved today are loans intended for the realization or reimbursement of expenses incurred for rescue and assistance to the population, for the restoration of the functionality of public services and strategic network infrastructures and for the management of waste and rubble.
This is, once again, the demonstration that the government has done and continues to do its part, with the utmost attention from all the ministries involved, demonstrating a profound sense of responsibility towards the many families and businesses in our territories affected from the exceptional bad weather of those first days of November. The executive has in fact worked, from the very first hours of the emergency, with his head down, to meet, as quickly as possible, the concrete needs of our communities, without ever wasting precious moments in instrumental controversies which have only been to the detriment of affected populations. Today comes another demonstration of this commitment. We trust in the same proof of responsibility and attention on the part of the commissioner structure of the Tuscany Region”.
