Stefania Calugi Tartufi presents the Essential Oil at Cibus 2024

From Tuesday 7 to Friday 10 May 2024, Stefania Calugi Truffles participates in the 22nd edition of Cibus, the international food fair in Parma, where it presents a preview of “Essenziale”, a product based on extra virgin olive oil and slices of top quality Tuscan black truffle which, with just a few drops, is able to give authenticity and identity to any dish. A new entry also accompanied by two other novelties this year: “Delizia”, the sweet version of truffle, and “Bianca”, white truffle sauce.

NOVELTY

You never forget the first time. This year, the truffle forest that the company has been cultivating since 2019 bore its first fruits, few but very fragrant and worthy of being remembered. This is why Stefania Calugi wanted to immortalize them in a new product: Essenziale, which “is born from the expression of something indispensable that contains the essence”. A classic condiment, based on extra virgin olive oil, but which, thanks to the aromatic notes of the infused Black Truffle, can make the difference and surprise friends and loved ones, giving a magical touch to lunches and dinners with friends .
Made with 100% Italian and natural raw materials and Tuscan truffles, it pairs perfectly with any dish. It is a limited edition, in fact there are only 500 examples, each of which bears the traceability of its infused truffle, with the name of the truffle hunter and the dogs who found it.
Essenziale comes with an elegant and refined package: each glass bottle, and therefore recyclable and reusable, is accompanied by its dropper pipette, which facilitates its use, and inside each box there is the explanatory booklet of the product which certifies the bottle number. Also perfect for a gift. The product will soon be available on the site Stefania Calugi Truffles.
Stefania Calugi Truffles leads to Cibus also two other new features this year. The first, Delizia, is a powder in which the truffle appears for the first time in a sweet version, combined with the flavor of carob, which recalls that of cocoa. It is a product that represents the area in which the company is located, thanks to the terracotta-colored powder of the carob that intertwines with the burnt red-toned territories that form the backdrop to the Val d’Elsa.

And Bianca, the sauce with white truffle and Parmigiano Reggiano DOP, which takes its name from Bianca di Castiglia, queen of France, whose life perfectly reflects the philosophy and values of the company: love for family, the desire to to do and the determination to achieve important goals. A product with an intense but pleasant flavour, which becomes the undisputed king of the dish but without taking away space from the other flavours.
At stand B052, Hall 5, it is possible to discover both these novelties and the company’s classic product lines, such as the Chef Line, dedicated to the needs of kitchen professionals, the Industry Line, semi-finished truffle products for unique and personalized references and the Bio Truffle line, which combines the pleasure of taste with the organic discipline.

Stefania Calugi Truffles is an almost entirely female reality that was founded in 1987 in the hills of San Miniato, one of the most important Italian territories for truffle production. Stefania Calugi, its founder, who at just 18 years old gave life to the first artisan workshop of just 67m², thanks to her stubbornness, passion and dedication, today she has managed to build a company of over 1500m², which has become an absolute excellence in research and processing of high quality truffles at an international level, with exports to over 40 countries around the world. Its objective is to teach and transmit the love for good food and classic Tuscan flavors reworked in a contemporary key, thanks to the lines dedicated to both the final consumer and catering. The company is internationally certified as BRC and IFS and product certified as Made in Italy and HALAL.
The company also has 30 hectares of certified organic truffle fields, partly dedicated to the supply of fresh truffles, which are shipped within 24/48 hours, and partly to the transformation into products with a short supply chain. It is precisely here that “The Truffle Road” was born, an immersive experience that allows tourists and enthusiasts of walks in the woods to discover the fascinating world of truffles and truffle hunters at 360°.
