Exempt numbers are decreasing, guests at accommodation facilities, 15 thousand QR Codes verified by operators, no critical issues
The end of the long bridge that from April 25th to May 1st is approaching, characterized, in Venice, by since the introduction of the 5 Euro access fee for residents outside the region visiting the city for the day. Monday 29 April, fifth day of application of the desired measure from the Municipality of Venice, saw 17,130 paying people registered, in line with Saturday’s figure and down compared to last weekend. Among the exempt, there was a drop of 7,000 units, stopping at 51,000 guests in accommodation facilities. The checks carried out verified a total of almost 15,000 QR codes, without revealing any particular critical issues.
Today, April 30, will be the sixth day on which entry is expected with the entry fee for the categories indicated, which will be followed by those on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26 May; 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30 June; 6, 7, 13 and 14 July 2024. The hours will always be the same, 8.30am-4.00pm. As the mayor of Venice recalled: “the objective of the access fee is to make the city livable for residents, workers, students and tourists”.
