Manuel Bedonni dead, farewell to friends on motorbikes

Bologna, 30 April 2024 – Last farewell, this morning at the mortuary of the Maggiore hospital in Bologna, for Manuel Bedonnithe 25-year-old motorcyclist from Sasso Marconi died last Saturday in hospital, three days after the accident which occurred shortly after 9pm on April 24, on the old Porrettana, in Pontecchio. After the violent impact with a heavy vehicle he was stuck under his motorbike. Revived on the asphalt, his heart had started beating again. And for a few hours his mother, family and friends had hoped that he could make it.

On Saturday I hope the doctors in the intensive care unit have declared his death and as an extreme gesture of love the mother agreed to the organ donation who will now help other people’s lives. “It’s true that you can’t change the past in a tragedy like this, it’s equally true that you can sometimes transform pain into an act of generosity and hope” commented Roberto Pieralli, rescue doctor and regional secretary of Snami.

Yesterday morning in a post from Manuel’s friends (who Tomorrow he would have turned 26) have extended the invitation to take part in this morning’s farewell on the motorbike “to say a final farewell with his favorite sound”. Followed by transport to the crematorium of the Borgo Panigale cemetery.
