«A pack that moves between the Collemaggio bus terminal and the Castle Park, which without well-founded reasons for the sole purpose of exalting its delinquent tendency and in defiance of any rule of civil life, attacks defenseless people considered to be disturbing criminal traffic» . This is what the Deputy Prosecutor of the Republic of L’Aquila, Marco Maria Cellini, expressed himself at the end of a detailed investigation carried out with a great spirit of self-sacrifice by the Carabinieri of the L’Aquila Station, asking for the arrests (in prison) of the alleged perpetrators of the attacks. , robberies, damages and above all serious injuries to minors. Events, which caused great disturbance in the community, also occurred in broad daylight and in the two very popular areas, Collemaggio and Castello, and therefore considered sensitive. Requests for precautionary measures which were not accepted by the investigating judge who decided to opt for residence bans. The protagonists of the various criminal actions that are the subject of attention by the police at the L’Aquila station are five Tunisians who have just turned 18, accused of several attacks (also filmed by the cameras present in the Collemaggio terminal) against defenseless minors. The most serious case occurred in January this year when a teenager was surrounded at the terminal by the group (due to a misinterpreted look) and beaten with a stick on his body and hands, while he was held still. Already injured, the minor had been kicked and punched, suffering fractures that could heal after 40 days.

OTHER CASES

In another case another young man had been injured by the throwing of a bottle of whisky: “I pay a person with cocaine to get you killed”, among the exclamations of one of the suspects. In another case, the small group of Tunisians is accused of stealing and damaging the cell phone of another minor to delete some compromising videos of the illicit activities. In the long list of aggressive activities of the gang highlighted by the carabinieri also the one along Via Roma where another minor had been attacked with cobblestones, along with punches and kicks. In this case, the victim was saved by a girl who had witnessed the scene and, shouting, announced the call to the police, managing to scare away the group of criminals. In his request for a precautionary measure, the prosecutor highlighted how the five Tunisians had self-determined themselves as “owners of urban areas in which to operate. The intimidating effect – we read in the prosecutor’s request to the investigating judge – is affirmed not only with violence and the creation of real gangs but also with intimidation by ethnic belonging, with the aim of committing more crimes, guaranteeing impunity and determining a condition of subjugation and silence of the victims”.
