Mieleria di San Lorenzo wins the Marche Honey Quality Award

The honey produced by Luca Londei’s La Mieleria di San Lorenzo is confirmed as one of the best honeys in the Marche region. At the regional competition “Marche Quality Award for Beehive Products 2023/2024”, organized by the Provincial Beekeeping Consortium Association of Ancona as leader of the 4 beekeeping consortia in the region, coriander honey from the San Lorenzo in Campo company , in the province of Pesaro Urbino, was the best in the Marche.

“It is always an enormous satisfaction – underlines Luca Londei – to be able to obtain these prestigious awards, which certify the quality of the path of maximum quality that we have undertaken for many years now. These are recognitions that gratify and reward the great commitment we put into our work every day. I like to share the brilliant result with all my collaborators whom I thank for their extraordinary professionalism.”

The coriander honey, produced in 2023, is a 0 km honey, born, in fact, just a stone’s throw from the company: “It was produced in the nearby Fratte Rosa, in the hills of the Cesano valley. A honey that crystallizes during the winter, with a citrus flavor and spicy notes on the nose, perfect, in particular, for tea and herbal teas”. This is the latest in an infinite series of awards won by La Mieleria di San Lorenzo. In recent years it has excelled at a regional level six times, as well as having obtained awards at a national level, as in 2018, at the prestigious Grandi Mieli d’Italia Competition. “We pay the utmost attention and care to every phase of production, from positioning the hives to their management, through honey extraction and packaging. All are made directly by us to guarantee the highest quality in every step. This is the basis of our successes. Now – concludes Londei – we are working on new productions. The conditions for still excellent honey are all there.”

The variety of honeys produced is wide; acacia, chestnut, honeydew, wildflower, lime, sunflower, spring, flavoured, rapeseed and the award-winning coriander. In the store in via Miralbello in San Lorenzo in Campo you can also find royal jelly, pollen, propolis, cosmetics as well as many local food and wine products.
