Bruno Facchetti, one of the fathers of the Noventa di Piave outlet, has died

NOVENTA DI PIAVE – His name is linked to the growth of the area and to the life itself of many families who have found work in his company over the years. Today Noventa mourns the death of Bruno Facchetti, a great entrepreneur in the construction sector. He was 84 years old and his death occurred on Sunday morning at the San Donà di Piave hospital, where he had been hospitalized following a domestic accident that occurred last Thursday. He leaves his wife Caterina, 78 years old, and his children Adolfo, Elisabetta and Danila involved in the family business.

HISTORY

Originally from Lonato, in the Brescia area, his professional path immediately met that of his father Adolfo and his uncle Ugo, who already had a construction company in the small Lombard municipality, in the area of ​​lower Lake Garda. His contact with the Veneto, the Lower Piave in this case, in the sixties, when the family company had the possibility of carrying out work along the A4: for this reason a mobile construction site was installed. The Facchetti brothers immediately understood the potential of this territory, still predominantly agricultural and less developed than Lombardy. And so what was born as a mobile construction site, functional for work on the motorway, becomes a stable company, Ifaf; Thus, land was purchased in Noventa di Piave, in via Calnova, where they developed the company headquarters, which is still operational on that site. A lively company with innovative ideas and bringing in jobs; today there are 50 employees, but over time they have reached peaks of around ninety. There are many public and private works that bear the “signature” of Ifaf Spa and the Facchetti family: from the bridge over the Sile and the middle schools in Jesolo to the fire brigade barracks in Mestre, from the Noventa outlet operation to the former Papa area of ​​San Donà, up to various real estate initiatives along the Venetian coast. Always investing in professionalism, but also in equipment and machinery (see the asphalt plant which was an absolute novelty for this area). “A great entrepreneur and a great man who did a lot for the area and who gave work to many people left us. – Mayor Claudio Marian underlined – he had a shy character, but you knew that Facchetti was always there. I send a hug to the whole family.”

THE PASSIONS

A person well-liked by everyone, Bruno had always maintained relationships with his homeland, in particular with his brothers, to whom he was very close and who often joined them. Passionate about hunting and nature lover, he had been in the Alpine corps, to which he felt attached. A shy person who did not like to appear, he was an example for everyone: the first to reach the company and the last to leave. And he particularly loved his family. The funeral will be celebrated today, at 3pm, in the church of Noventa. The ashes will then be taken to the family chapel in Lonato.
