Transfem organizes a new meeting on city visions and proposals
Transfem – The Transfem Assembly of Perugia, a collective born with the aim of promoting inclusive dialogue and the sharing of ideas on social issues and the defense of rights, has announced a new public meeting. This meeting, which will be held on Friday 3 May at 5.30 pm in the hall of the Casa dell’Associazionismo in Via della Viola, 1, will serve to discuss the results of the thematic tables formed during the last assembly on 12 April at the Nuovo Cinema Méliès and to propose co-construction paths for the city.
The initiative of TransfemPg, which saw the light during a trip to Rome for the national demonstration on November 25, aims to create a safe space open to all to address various urban and social issues. The movement has already attracted attention with the well-attended march on March 8, revealing a strong desire to actively contribute to the improvement of the urban and social fabric.
The topics addressed in the thematic tables, which range from health and well-being, management of urban spaces, support for anti-violence centers, work and income issues, up to ecology and the promotion of a city of peace, reflect a broad spectrum of interests and city needs. Each table has produced detailed reports with a series of ideas and proposals, which will be presented and discussed during the meeting.
The Assembly Transfem of Perugia presents itself as a promoter of a model of city that not only rejects the logic of war but actively promotes solidarity and cooperation between all the subjectivities present in the territory. The goal is to develop a city without physical or social barriers, where every individual can feel accepted and supported.
The event on May 3rd represents an opportunity for the citizens of Perugia to actively participate in the urban transformation process, contributing with their own ideas and listening to the proposals that emerged from the working groups. Furthermore, the assembly meets regularly every Wednesday at 7pm in Corso Garibaldi 180, offering a constant meeting point for those who wish to engage in these issues.
This meeting is an open invitation to all those interested in working Together for a more inclusive, safe and supportive Perugia, reflecting on the type of city we want and can build together.
