A 10-year-old girl was stabbed to death by her 17-year-old sister. The tragedy happened in Australia, in the city of Boolaroo in the New South Wales region, the police arrested the teenager and are investigating the incident. The emergency services rushed to the little girl’s house following the report of a stabbing, the emergency room doctors tried to resuscitate the little girl but unfortunately there was nothing they could do and they declared her dead.
The 17-year-old, who the press says is the victim’s sister, was taken to the police station and is cooperating with investigators. “NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 10-year-old girl at the scene for multiple stab wounds; however the girl died at the scene. Officers from the Lake Macquarie Police District arrested a 17-year-old girl at the home, who she was taken to the Belmont Police Station and is currently cooperating with the investigation,” the force said in a statement.
“There are no words to describe what happened. We are saddened,” a neighbor told the The Sydney Morning Herald. This is another shock for the country, just two weeks after five women and a security guard were killed in a series of stabbings in a shopping mall in the country. A 28-year-old man was stabbed in Quakers Hill last Friday and died on the way to hospital.
