ROCCA PIETORE Caracoi-Cimai in Rocca Pietore, a tragedy shook the inhabitants on Saturday evening. Maurizio Maramao, 73 years old, a long-time lover of the mountains and landscapes of the Dolomites, was the victim of a sudden illness that was fatal. The man, who recently moved to Rocca Pietore with his partner Anna to live his passion for nature, suffered a heart attack while he was in his home.
SAINT JUSTINA Six people were transported to the emergency room due to the suspected presence of carbon monoxide in their homes. The fire brigade intervened after a report of a burning smell, but they found no flames; however, the equipment detected the presence of the gas. No serious situations were recorded, but as a precaution the families were advised to monitor any problems due to inhalation of the gas.
ZOLDO VALLEY It was 10am yesterday morning when an avalanche broke off from Mount San Sebastiano in Val di Zoldo. Suem 118 intervened immediately for a check. No one was involved.
