Dear Director,
as previously announced, the CO.DI.CE. will organize a public meeting for the Hospital for next Saturday 18/05, at 10.00 am, at the “Aloysius Bertrand” Library in Ceva.
Naturally, the contribution of other local forces who wish to contribute to the initiative is welcome.
The meeting aims to be an opportunity to talk about the hospital and, above all, to have the candidates in the next local and regional elections talk about it. The Presidential candidates of the political forces currently in opposition have already been invited and, for the Regional Council, the current Councilor for Health, Luigi Icardi.
We know that the latter recently visited the Ceva Hospital, announcing the placement of a new MOC equipment at the facility and reiterating the intention to open the 24-hour emergency room. This is news that we welcome and which leads us to believe that the participation of the Councilor is even more necessary, so that the greatest possible clarity can be achieved on the concrete initiatives that the Region intends to adopt for the Hospital.
In our opinion, the opening of the emergency room all day continues to be central – how and when will this happen? – the introduction of the medical ambulance and, more generally, all those measures necessary to make Ceva a hospital fully suitable for the initial management of emergencies.
But we also care about the operations of the other departments, starting with Dialysis. On the other hand, the experience – precisely in Ceva – shows that even a “small” hospital can achieve “big” numbers. We are referring to Medicine, a department with 25 beds, 3 of which are for the integrated “Medicine-Oncology” management and various specialist clinics, all fully operational.
For all these reasons, it is essential that the hospital is talked about during the electoral campaign and the candidates in the local elections must naturally also be able to express themselves on the issue.
For this reason we have already invited those who will participate in the next administrative elections in Ceva, but all the candidates from the municipalities of Cebano, Val Tanaro and Val Bormida, who are certainly interested in the topic, must also be considered invited.
Finally, the participation of the population is of fundamental importance: as citizens, if we do not want to be passive spectators of choices made by others – with consequences that however fall on us – we must intervene, acquire awareness and make our active and vigilant presence felt. !
