pleasant literary meeting with Stefano Siani

A fresh talk show energized by multiple interventions and voices gave vitality to the first step of the literary review “Authors forever” conceived by Tarta Editorial Project, a young cultural reality committed to organizing events with a wide socio-cultural scope in synergy with the Aniep Lu association and other realities of the cultural panorama. An emblematic title for a novel: “The theory of water moons” by Stefano Siani, writer and artist who was presented by the moderator Manuela Orsini Merani and the editor Anna Perucci in a crescendo of questions, readings of extracts chosen ad hoc . In Forte dei Marmi, this gave life to a late afternoon on April 27th with a convivial and cultural feel, with a look at contemporary literature. A room packed with an audience including students who were so involved that they participated with speeches and appreciation for the author and the organizers.

Chef Marco Mariani and Chiara Radicchi, owners of Marcoforte, demonstrated all their elegance and hospitality for welcoming the first step of the Tarta Editorial Project literary review created with a charitable purpose. Their location, according to many who attended the event, was, from all points of view, unique in its kind for the refinement of the furnishings with a suggestive view of the beach and for the accuracy in the choice of the raw materials used by the chef Mariani for a delicious aperitif.

An initiative, that of the exhibition which aims to give light to well-known and talented authors with important synergies such as the Excelsior hotel in Marina di Massa which has embraced the Tarta Editorial Project by actively supporting their activity, but also that of other professionals in the world cultural.

The deputy mayor Andrea Cella, present at the evening, confirmed with his speech in relation to the event, a particular sensitivity towards initiatives of a socio-cultural nature, but not only. Also predisposed, as in the case of the young publishing reality, to create healthy and proactive collaborations for the valorization of local resources, realities, professionals, which also contribute to generating a certain cultural appeal. And at the same time to encourage healthy habits such as frequenting places dedicated to reading, art and cognitive enrichment.

Stefano Siani’s novel was presented in a non-conformist way to become the subject of discussion, not only for the plot which skilfully addresses quantum mechanics in a register “within everyone’s reach”. A process that the author carried out through the story lived by a teenager, Leonardo, the protagonist of his book, winning the first prize in the “Water, nature and people” competition organized by Tarta Editorial Project. The protagonist lives at the mercy of a sort of chaos full of questions, which affects not only his person and his private life, but everything that surrounds him, thus fueling his innate and inexhaustible curiosity. In this psychological and analytical game, he involves his friend Cristian, in fact every day after school they meet near a newsstand to go and explore a part of the city they call “Atlantis”.

Precisely in that area the two characters will come across a mysterious man, Alberto who will provide the key to understanding many of their questions. “Who inspired you for the character of Alberto? Perhaps his father Francesco, a well-known artist from Carrara.. ”- asked the moderator Orsini Merani. “Probably yes, in some traits there is something of him.” The writer Siani did not want to overbalance too much and during the course of the evening he was able to sustain a continuous crescendo of questions and answers not only from the moderator and the editor Anna Perucci, but also from the public. “Does Stefano Siani feel more at ease as a writer or an artist?” editor Perucci wanted to address the author.

“I would say that at this stage I feel more motivated to write.” In short, in this phase of his life he has given way to an incessant writing streak that is fascinated by a combination of science and art. During the evening, pleasant readings of the extracts were alternated also by the president of Aniep Lu Alberto Perucci, always at the forefront in supporting events aimed at encouraging culture without discrimination. The writer’s wife Alessandra wanted to participate in the reading of some passages of the book and to follow the actor Massimo Cattani of the A Ufo theater company who literally interpreted the characters of the book by reading some pages of a chapter. The interventions were joined by an author who was awarded in the aforementioned competition, Giampiero Gelmi who defines himself as a writer by passion, demonstrating his powerful communicative power. The reading of some verses from his poetry anthology “Photography of the Unseen” gave proof of this and was in line with the common thread of the evening full of emotion. The intention of the organizers to give strength to the attitude of reading and to discover authors with a certain potential received a favorable response, right from the first appointment with the exhibition. The second is expected in May, it will be a novel with a theme very distant from that of Siani, but at the same time full of color and true feelings.
