SAINT ARPINO. Yesterday morning at Casale di Teverolaccio the presentation of the annual “school in celebration 2024” event and the art and craft workshops of the “Arts&Craft” project, official partner of the event, was held.

The political representatives of the Municipality of Succivo and the Municipality of Sant’ Arpino were present as well as the School Director of the IC Rocco Cav. Rocco Musical and Cultural Association, of the IC of Sant’ Arpino, Giovana Antunes and the master of art Maria Falace creators of Arts&Craft together with the work team.

The Arts&Craft project has as its themes the art and ancient crafts of the traditions that have characterized our territories and today are at risk of disappearing, as well as an educational-creative-experiential “learning-by-doing” path of development of lateral thinking, acquisition of new skills and stimulation of the soft skills essential for entry into the future world of work. Today it boasts almost 150 children enrolled in the 7 Experimental Classes active within the IC Rocco Cav. C. with its Art and Crafts Workshops and which has enjoyed great success among primary school children.

The event, strongly desired by the parents of the students, has the objective of spreading the sense of belonging, of aggregation, and above all of making the Atellan villages aware of the Santarpino school reality” Iovinella said.

The Headmaster Maria Debora Belardo explained, during her speech, how this event is becoming increasingly significant in the lives of children who are waiting for the end of the school year to be able to participate, as an active part, in the three days of the event, from childhood, elementary, up to middle school students. Many projects have been presented over the years, such as the intercultural exchange with the different ethnic groups present in the area, the five-a-side football, volleyball and table tennis tournaments, the workshops, the award ceremony for deserving former students, now adults, who have distinguished themselves in professional, academic life, etc., as well as the same suggestive event last Christmas.
