“Help I was hit by a car that didn’t stop”. He had time to pronounce these sentences before the 57-year-old man, Michele Dallavalle, who was rescued during the night between 27 and 28 April in Carpaneto in the province of Piacenza, lost consciousness. Around midnight a woman asked for help from the Carpaneto Public Assistance, ringing the bell at the association’s headquarters, reporting a man on the ground not far away.

So the doctors come out to give him first aid and have time to collect his testimony: the 57-year-old is immediately transported to the emergency room in Piacenza. The injuries sustained were too serious and the man died in hospital. The carabinieri of the Fiorenzuola Radiomobile therefore went to Carpaneto, and subsequently to Piacenza, to collect testimonies and have the medical report delivered: in the impact the 57-year-old suffered a fractured pelvis and other traumas. At the same time, video surveillance images in the area where the accident occurred are also acquired, in search of useful elements for the investigation. The body was made available to the prosecutor on duty, Matteo Centini, before proceeding with the autopsy examination.
