The artist Luca Dall’Olio inaugurates San Vitale in Seniga

Palazzo Ferrante has opened its doors to art and culture, the San Vitale festival could not have started better.

None other than the artist Luca Dall’Olio inaugurated the famous festival by cutting the ribbon together with the mayor Elena Ferrari Saturday evening at Palazzo Ferrante. The historic residence opened its doors and welcomed a crowd of people who came to visit the art exhibitions organised: that of Dall’Olio himself who brought a selection of his works, numerous local artists and the photographer Jonathan D’Andrea who he brought a selection of his works created in Middle Eastern countries. The professor was present at the inauguration Riccardo Romagnolinumerous representatives of the Administration, Letizia Papa, Paola Merigo, Marino Talenti, Federica Aletti, Lucia Galasiand the president of the nursery school Catina Balotta. Art is the characteristic sign of this festival now promoted to a cultural event.

The celebration continues today, Sunday 28th, with Palazzo Ferrante open all day to make the exhibitions accessible. At 6pm there will be an award ceremony for the young students who participated in the “A drawing in memory of Professor Francesco Balotta” competition. At 10am solemn mass with display of sacred vestments, followed by procession through the streets of the town. In Piazza XX Settembre and surrounding areas the town will be colored by food stands, stalls, hobbyists, madonnari, Avis and Aido stands, nursery school stands and face painting, children’s rides, food trucks and live music, and a snack in the oratory in the afternoon and games for the little ones.
