Strength, desire and determination. Warm up your engines Vito Dell’Aquila less than three months after the start of Paris 2024 Olympicswhere the blue taekwondo player will be called to confirm the wonderful gold medal won in Tokyo 2020 in the -58 kg category.
The native of Mesagne spoke about his objectives in a short statement released today to the ANSA news agency during the Italian Championships being held at the PalaTiziano in Romewhere he attended only as a spectator together with his colleague Simone Alessio.
“The Tokyo gold is over, I don’t have to think about that title but only about fighting. Nowadays it’s a different story – the fighter said – I don’t think about the fact that I am the reigning champion, there are four years between one Olympics and the next, although in this case it is three, so being the reigning champion means nothing. It’s often difficult just to qualify in taekwondo, let alone win again. I feel the pressure, but I’m learning to manage it and I’m improving in this aspect“.
