Lazio Women, 6 goals against Pavia and a very tight first place
Descriptive text here

Mr. Grassadonia’s Lazio Women won again 6-1 (this time away against Pavia). After the initial advantage, created by Codeca for the Lombard team, the Biancocelesti went on a landslide with Moraca’s hat-trick and goals scored by Gomes, Palombi and Ferrandi in the final. Now Lazio, with its 23rd victory in the championship, is at 71 points and still 5 points ahead of Ternana (second in the standings), who, in the meantime, had beaten Bologna 4-1 away. Now the next round of the championship, which will be played on May 1st, is potentially favorable for Lazio Women because the eagles will play at home against San Marino, while Ternana will host Cesena third in the standings, just 2 points away from Umbrian team. Therefore Lazio Women will have to make the most of this opportunity to gain further points ahead of all their pursuers, including Parma who are level on points with Cesena, and to arithmetically close, as soon as possible, the fight for promotion to Serie A in first place in the rankings.

FIRST HALF – The first offensive action of the match came in the 4th minute with a goal from Codeca who gave Pavia the lead, taking advantage of an error by Eriksen, who lost the ball and allowed the Lombard team to find a way to score. In the 10th minute Visentin earned yet another penalty of the season for Lazio, having been brought down by Semplici. Moraca signed it the next minute, surprising Migliazza. In the 18th minute Moraca looked for a brace directly from a free kick, on the edge of the area, but Migliazza blocked the ball excellently. In the 23rd minute Colombo volleyed from the edge of the area, but the ball went over, albeit not by much. In the 28th minute, following a corner kick, Gothberg made a great volley from the edge of the area, but Migliazzo brilliantly cleared it for a corner. In the 40th minute, quickly taking a free kick, Lazio caught Pavia by surprise and Moraca overturned the result, giving the Biancocelesti the lead. In the 46th minute, Adami wasted a great opportunity to score, shooting from inside the area of rigor, albeit slightly.

SECOND HALF – The second half of the game began with Moraca who scored a hat-trick in the 48th minute, sprinting deep, completing a splendid attacking move by Lazio and reaching, on a personal level, 17 goals in the season (16 in Serie B and 1 in the Italian Cup ). In the 53rd minute Visentin ate a goal (almost) with an empty net, failing to hit the target from a few steps away, after receiving the ball from a tense and precise cross from Popadinova. In the 57th minute it was Popadinova who missed her chance to score, having her shot from close range saved and deflected into a corner by Migliazza. In the 62nd minute Palombi, in the penalty area, tried to shoot on goal but the shot was blocked by the Pavia defense. In the 65th minute Palombi tried again, assisted by Visentin, but his shot, still in the penalty area, ended up over the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Gomes, following Pittaccio’s cross, shot towards goal but Migliazza blocked the ball in two stages. In the 73rd minute Palombi fed Gomes deep, but the latter, at the moment of the shot, was anticipated by Dubini, who deflected the ball into a corner. In the 79th minute Adami made a great shot from distance, but Migliazza was equally good at clearing the ball for a corner kick. In the 81st minute Gomes broke his months-long goal drought by scoring his 5th goal of the championship and bringing Lazio 4-1 in Pavia. In the 84th minute Proietti looked for the personal joy of scoring with a shot from the edge of the area, but Migliazza easily blocked the ball. In the 86th minute, Gomes, running deep, tried to mock Migliazza with a lob, but without success. In the 87th minute Palombi shot high a few steps from the goal without hitting the target, but in the 88th minute she managed to make it 5-1 for the Biancoceleste, also reaching 5 goals in the league. In the 89th minute Ferrandi closed the match with the final goal of 6-1 for Lazio, also reaching 5 goals in this championship.
