Inter triumphed in the Italian championship and earned their deserved second star. Throughout the Province of Rimini, the Nerazzurri supporters indulged in joy: someone displayed the flag in the window, as per tradition, but there were those who had a very particular idea to celebrate the triumph of Simone Inzaghi and the its players.
In Casalecchio, a small town before Petrella Guidi, in the municipality of Sant’Agata Feltria, there is a small Inter fiefdom. And two fans, Nazzareno and Leonardo, decided to create black and blue pedestrian crossings, adding the two stars and the number 20. Fausto, Leonardo’s brother, helped them. The playful idea actually also hides a message to the Municipality of Sant’Agata Feltria: “Here we cross to go up to the town, we would like there really to be pedestrian crossings”says Fausto.
About twenty people live in Casalecchio, mostly Inter fans. There is also a Juventus player and a Milan player, forced to make the best of bad luck. But it’s sport: there are those who win, there are those who lose, sometimes you get teased, sometimes you’re forced to suffer them. But then we all meet at the bar for a drink in company. There is further backstory to this story. The AC Milan fan, a boy originally from Como, knows Paula De La Fuente, wife of Javier Zanetti, Inter manager and historic captain, and sent the video depicting the black and blue pedestrian crossings to his personal telephone number, inviting her to show it to her husband. And who knows, maybe in October Zanetti will decide to come and see them in person, also taking advantage of the opportunity to visit the famous national fair of the prized white truffle of Sant’Agata Feltria.
