ROME – Last April 20th, the Awards Ceremony of the fourth edition of the National Olive Oil Competition “Ramoscello d’Oro 2024” took place at the “G.Garibaldi” Agricultural Technical Institute in Rome.
Institutional personalities participated in the event; specialized technicians in the olive oil sector; qualified international tasters and many producers of extra virgin olive oil from the regions of origin; in this regard it is important to underline the fundamental role played by the tasting panel made up of professional judges recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture.
In addition to the award ceremony for the winning participants, an interesting conference was held which involved topics relating to the entire oil supply chain; there have been technical interventions on the olive tree nursery; on phytosanitary and nutritional control; correct olive processing and pressing practices; commercial marketing.
We believe we have organized an event of national importance which obtained the consensus and satisfaction of all participants; confidently, in the following days, many of them had the opportunity to contact us to express their desire to continue the path of valorising quality productions as well as the territories they belong to.
We are pleased to underline how the granting of patronage to the initiative by their institutions had the effect of demonstrating the belief that our country must continue on the path of development and care for the quality of the product and the territory; this characteristic distinguishes us in the world and reserves for us a much coveted primary role, esteemed and recognized by the other nations of the planet.
Having supported the National Olive Oil Competition “Ramoscello d’Oro 2024” means having placed trust in the many producers who with passion and stubbornness dedicate their lives to the care of an agricultural sector that represents the best that Italy can express.
