The increasingly out of tune and, to put it bluntly, embarrassing fanfare at Palazzo dei Bruzi is clamoring for the imminent reopening of the Casa delle Culture on Corso Telesio scheduled for this very morning. Already from the text of the released press release it is clear that this is the second episode of what we called the money round at Palazzo dei Bruzi.

The protagonists, understood as those who use the money from the Caggi to do business and feed their customers, are the same as those of another inauguration, the one held in front of the San Gaetano complex which was entrusted to “Le Seppie”, a cultural association dear to Madame Fifì and Capu i Liuni who were awarded the sum of 100 thousand euros. You may ask yourself: to do something useful for citizens? Arrassusia, they really don’t think about it.
And let’s review these squanderers of public resources.
One is the “delegate of Mayor Franz Caruso to the Historic Center”, born Francesco Alimena, also known as little Franco or the family puppy Adamo-Bruno Bossio, former private secretary of Enza Bruno Bossio, his parliamentary assistant and trusted man of the Adam-Incarnate clan.
The other protagonists are Franz Caruso in the role of the hooded man faithful to the ideals… of the Goi, Nicola Adamo in the usual ones of Capu i Liuni, Giggino Incarnato in the role of Tic tac but now increasingly only Tic tic… and of course Enza Bruno Bossio in the role by Madame Fifi.
But before telling this second episode and revealing all the intrigues, we need to take a step back several decades.
We are in the mid-nineties of the last century. Giacomo Mancini, who had won the elections on his own a few years earlier and had taken up residence in Palazzo dei Bruzi, was focusing heavily on the relaunch of the historic centre: roads, lighting, underground services, low-rate mortgages with a non-repayable contribution from the Municipality to renovate private properties, support for those who opened new businesses and much more. So much so that the old city, as we call it in Cosenza, had become a meeting point for cultural initiatives, concerts and events at any time of day and night.
In this work of rehabilitation and rebirth the old socialist lion also included the headquarters of the old town hall on Corso Telesio which at that time was dilapidated, without a roof, without internal attics with crumbling stairs.
The building was recovered, renovated and transformed into what was later called the House of Cultures. Mancini called professor Franco Dionesalvi, poet, man of letters and intellectual, to give life and form to the initiative.
From that collaboration the first internet points were born where the people of Cosenza could surf the web for free, having access to many stations accessible from morning to evening. And then cinematography, reading, experimentation, meetings between different cultures, debates, film clubs, screenings. In those years the House of Cultures became a hub of cultural initiatives and also experiments.
The premise, even if long, is a must, to make it clear what the House of Cultures was then and to make it tragically clear what it risks becoming with the operation of today’s protagonists that we presented above. Who, having understood how unpresentable their faces are, in the press release mention the names of Giacomo Mancini and Franco Dionesalvi in contempt of even minimal decency.
Why? We’ll explain it to you right away. The House of Cultures, which in the years we mentioned was open to everyone, almost free throughout, now becomes a private place renovated with public funds and used to carry out private and lucrative activities.
But let’s go in order. Most of the 800 square meters of a public building (let’s repeat it) were assigned to the “Teatro in note” cooperative. It is not known whether this cooperative will pay the Municipality a rental fee or will cover the cost of utilities, what we do know is that it will prepare a calendar of artistic events. But in the meantime it will move its administrative headquarters there and all its employees coordinated by Vera Segreti, who has the role of director, and who in the city is known for being linked to the Occhiuto brothers, to their faithful licker Pierluigi Caputo and consequently as happens now for some time, she has also been close to Nicola Adamo and his kind wife and their band of courtiers.
The family in question obviously could not help but think of themselves by having space and usability assigned to Corso Telesio also to the “Le Seppie” association (everyone knows that Nicola and Enza’s daughter is inside…), which will be allocated also in San Gaetano where he has already received the sum of almost one hundred thousand euros
On the second floor there will be a network of specialized professionals, including critics, curators, exhibitors and publishers (among these Roberto Sottile, Marilena Morabito, the Acav cultural association and Galileo editore). Just do a search on the internet to understand how there are many of these worthy people of the same level and many are of a much higher level. Yet the House of Cultures will be an affair only for friends of friends…
On the third floor, however, training courses will be set up which from today it is said without any hesitation that they will be accredited by the Region and which are already rumored to bring in millions of dollars.
It is therefore clear that today the ribbon will not be cut on the House of Cultures as conceived and created by those giants Giacomo Mancini and Franco Dionesalvi. But it will be the inauguration of a new association by Nicola Adamo for the benefit of close relatives, dwarves and dancers… like those based near Piazza Amendola which they used to manage the funds of the regional groups which went down in the judicial news under the name of ” Reimbursement”. Think people think.
