Fire on the front door with an incendiary bottle

The Carabinieri of the Cantù Company are investigating an ugly incident that occurred during the night between Friday and Saturday in Cirimido, in Viale Vittorio Veneto. The wall and door of a house were in fact hit by the throwing of a bottle full of flammable liquid. In short, a fire started to develop, which however the inhabitant of the targeted house, who is a Tunisian citizen, managed to put out on his own initiative without requesting the intervention of the firefighters. Small damage was also suffered by a car that was parked nearby, a car which however is owned by a man who has nothing to do with what happened.

The police from the Lomazzo station arrived on site to ascertain what had happened around 11pm on Friday night and immediately started investigations to try to understand the dynamics of the violent event. At the time of the launch of the incendiary bottle on Cirimido it was raining heavily, making it difficult to draw useful information from what remained (little) of the glass bottle. However, investigations were carried out in the hope of being able to obtain some feedback in order to trace those responsible for the ugly episode.

As mentioned, fortunately, the damage from the initial fire was limited to the wall and the entrance to the house, with even a small amount of damage to the parked car. Obviously – as the first act of the investigation – the Carabinieri of the Cantù Company also interviewed the man who lived in the damaged apartment. It is not excluded at the moment that it may have been, in fact, a retaliation against him. The investigations were conducted by the soldiers of the Lomazzo barracks who were also the ones who carried out the first inspection. It was not possible to find the bottle, which was completely destroyed. The homeowner himself called the police.
