In the video, according to what was also posted on X by the journalist Barak Ravid of Axios, there are images of two hostages apparently still alive. The first – he explained – is Keith Siegal, who is also a US citizen, taken into the Kfar Aza kibbutz. The second is Omri Miran, kidnapped on October 7 in the Nir Oz kibbutz. The latter’s sister was recently, together with other families, received by Pope Francis in the Vatican.

Both, very tried, speak of “a harsh condition” due to the bombings on the Strip and speak words of “love for their family”. Overwritten, Hamas claims that “the killing” in Israel’s raids “of dozens of hostages prevented others from celebrating the Jewish Passover with their loved ones.” The two kidnapped men appeal to the Israeli government to participate in negotiations for an agreement for their release. At the same time, they invite their family members to put pressure on them with demonstrations to obtain their release. The same video shows clips of statements by Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaking about the need for military pressure to release the hostages. Israel has always defined these Hamas videos as “psychological propaganda” and as a rule the images are not disseminated. The release of the video by Hamas comes shortly after the start of protests in Israel by the families of the kidnapped against the government to urge a positive negotiation.
