MUNICIPALITY OF CERRETO D’ESI WINS THE INTEGRATED DIGITAL SERVICES NOTICE

By Adele Berionni, municipal councilor with responsibilities for technological innovation

The municipality of Cerreto d’Esi is among the winners of the Marche Region tender for “Integrated digital services”. The contribution of 45,000 Euros will finance 100% of the expenses that will be incurred to spread what the Marche Region calls “Diffuse digital village”, a new vision of the Marche region, a place to experiment with new technologies, encouraging not only growth opportunities and development, but also of simplification and access to services for citizens. A new tourist site, digital itineraries, integrated signage with QR code – these are the main activities that will be financed. The project presented by our Municipality represents a historic result not so much for the economic contribution intercepted, but for the strategy and will it represents: for the first time in Cerreto too we talk about the promotion and valorisation of the heritage in a tourist key and it is done through the most modern digital tools. In the post-pandemic period, tourism has changed radically as have the needs of travellers: meeting new trends is a duty of the administration as well as including digital among the services provided. It is also a concrete commitment of the Cambiamenti administration to lay the foundations for new development and new growth, which can no longer be solely industrial. “We are experiencing a crucial historical moment: thanks to the reconstruction funds, to the projects underway with the successful tenders from the GAL, thanks to the other regional and national resources intercepted, Cerreto d’Esi is experiencing a true process of urban regeneration. Our territory is also crossed daily by pilgrims who follow the stage of the Cammino dei Cappuccini which connects Fabriano to Poggio San Romualdo, a number destined to grow in view of the Jubilee 2025 and 2028, the year in which the 500 years since the birth of the Friars Minor are celebrated Cappuccini” – declares Mayor Grillini, expressing satisfaction with the result obtained.

This funding gives us the opportunity to achieve what we as an administration have wanted to do for some time, to put in place the first piece of a strategy to promote the entire village, to create an experiential showcase of Cerreto with which the visitor will be able to define what type of experience will want to live by visiting our territory. Specifically, thanks to the resources, an innovative tourism site will be created which will host an interactive map of Cerreto, where it will be possible to consult information sheets of points of interest and economic operators enriched with photos and videos. Digital itineraries will be designed that will guide tourists to discover our artisanal, food and wine traditions, particular places and anecdotes from our past. The itineraries will be thematically different (historical, cultural, religious, food and wine…) in order to reach and involve as many groups as possible (families, children, art experts, foreigners, etc.). Finally, a new integrated signage system will be created with the QR Code, which will allow visitors to have all the information on the places to visit without the need for further guides or APPs, in order to make the accessibility and usability of our heritage easier. Finally, we thank the trade associations and the Pro Loco who shared the objectives and territorial development strategy with us during the conception phase of the project proposal, signing a collaboration agreement for the realization of this strategic intervention.
