None of the seventeen teams finished the group with full points. A fact that says a lot about the balance that she reigned in the youngest category of the Tournament.
Group A – Campania won the direct clash with Umbria at the end of a match for strong hearts. Damiani’s team, with a three-point advantage midway through the second half thanks to Stagliano’s brace and Di Dona’s third TDR goal, had put the match on ice. Only apparently because in futsal everything changes in a fraction of a second. The Umbrians made up for it with the centers of Mazzoni (double, three signatures at the TDR) and Tiburzi but in the end Campania held on. Le Marche with first place and qualification already in their pocket has rotated the squad. Basilicata took advantage of this and took their first victory in this TDR thanks to Castronuovo’s goal who concluded the event with five seals.
Group B – A great match between Veneto and Lazio. On the other hand, the Representatives were playing for the passage to the Quarterfinals. And in the end, fate wanted both of them to be able to continue their journey to the TDR. Mister Di Fazio’s team experienced the pyrotechnic finale as protagonists and in one minute, between the 19th and 20th minute of the second half, in true futsal style, they turned the tide of the match with goals from Ferraro and Orsolini (twice) finishing at 4-3. Three of Lazio’s four goals were scored by Orsolini himself. Veneto was unable to manage the two-point lead defended until midway through the second half thanks to the signatures of Lenzi, D’Alessandro (4 goals per TDR) and Manente. Not bad because Veneto managed to get through the round as the best of the runners-up in the triangular tournaments.
Group C – Molise with great confidence beat Liguria 4-0 to take first place and a place in the quarter-finals. Marsella’s team exploded in the second half. Sicily tripped Sardinia with two flashes at the end of the match which gave the Sicilians a 4-3 success and second place with six points. Di Dio, Pirrera, Marletta and Lattuga scored the decisive goals. The Sardinians got lost midway through the second half.
Group D – Emilia Romagna and Piedmont VdA. The former were forced to win, the latter could count on two results out of three. Mister Bottacini’s team did not tremble and with an amazing second half achieved success and the record in the triangular competition. Lissi’s brace and Datioli’s center marked the match. The goals from Solero and Luberto in the first half were not enough for the Piedmontese.
Group E – Calabria and Puglia did not hold back in the direct clash which was worth the leadership of the Group. Pellegrino’s representative team started strong, closing the first half at 6-0. The magic of futsal and the tenacity of the Apulians revitalized the match. Between the 7th and 8th minute Ferrigno (twice), Semeraro and D’Aversa reopened the match. Calabria did not disunite, taking home the 7-5 victory which earned them first place in the triangular tournament and passage to the next round. Devastating Gadaleta and Elia scored two hat-tricks. The first is already at five centers in the TDR.
