On Friday 3 May 2024 from 2.30 pm, the University of Freedoms of FVG – ETS (via Napoli 4 in Udine) will host the conference “The Europe I would like”, in view of Europe Day. Through the interventions of the MEP Hon. Elisabetta Gualmini, the President Pina Raso, the EPALE ambassadors and various personalities, the opportunity will be offered to reflect on the importance of European values ​​and the development of active citizenship. During the visits to the European Parliament organized by the University of Freedoms of FVG, President Pina Raso – together with a large representation of the institution’s associates – had the opportunity to meet the MEP Elisabetta Gualmini. From this meeting was born THE EUROPE THAT I WOULD LIKE, a conference strongly desired by Raso, promoted in collaboration with the Erasmus+ Agency INDIRE and with the involvement of the Erasmus+ Adult Education Ambassadors of Trentino Alto Adige. Appointment at 2.30pm on Friday 3 May 2024, at the Conference Room of the University of Freedoms of FVG (via Napoli 4 in Udine, entrance from via Caltanissetta 35). The event will take place in three parts and will highlight the opportunities promoted by community programs for international training and volunteering.

The theme of the first part will be “European democracy”, giving space to the values ​​of freedom, solidarity, equality, respect for human dignity and the rights of all. In addition to President Pina Raso, speakers will include the Hon. ELISABETTA GUALMINI MEP, SARA PAGLIAI (ERASMUS+ INDIRE Coordinator) and LORENZA VENTURI (Head of Erasmus+ Unit, Adult Education sector and Head of EPALE Unit, Erasmus+ INDIRE National Agency), FIAMMETTA MICHELACCI (Erasmus+ National Agency ) and ELENA FAGGI (Erasmus+ EDA Ambassador for FVG).

In the second part the theme of “The European sense of belonging” will be explored. Speakers will be LAURA STEFANELLI (Erasmus+ EDA ambassador of Trentino Alto Adige) and MADDALENA RECLA (CSV Trentino and Cabina di Regia Trento European Capital of Volunteering).

In the third part “Word to young people – From multicultural schools to international schools: the importance of the European dimension in CPIA” conducted by FLAVIA VIRGILIO (CPIA school director of Udine).

At the entrance, post-it notes will be made available in which participants can answer the question “What Europe do I dream of?”. The answers will be presented and commented on at the end of the meeting, encouraging debate and discussion among all those present. At the end of the work ELISA RAPETTI (ambassador of Trentino Alto Adige) will involve teachers and students in reading and commenting on the POST-ITs.

Between one intervention and another, space for music and dialogue between the cultures of European peoples will be given by the musical interlude by Valentina Volpe Andreazza, mezzo-soprano and founder of the Music4Diplomacy movement, accompanied by the violinist Valentina Danelon, in collaboration with the ‘RimeMuTe Association.
