A girl who lives in Cicagna in a two-storey building woke up at two in the morning due to noises which she initially believed were caused by thieves. When she arrived on the terrace she realized that the roof was burning. The Rapallo firefighters arrived on site, as their colleagues from Chiavari were engaged in another service. The flames had devastated half of the wooden beam attic. The containment and extinguishing operation, later with the contribution of units from Chiavaro, continued until 5.30am this morning. They don’t complain about being intoxicated, burned or injured. The house was deemed uninhabitable; huge damages. The girl who lives there was evacuated. The police were also on site. The cause of the fire should be the malfunction of the chimney flue.

Last night, around 2am, the Fire Brigade worked to extinguish a burning roof in the Cicagna area. In addition to the Rapallo team, the Chiavari team also provides support. The girl who slept inside saved herself independently. Despite the difficulty in approaching the vehicles due to the narrow road, the emergency response made it possible to limit the fire to a portion of approximately 20 square metres.
