Accident in via Orti della Farnesina where, around 3.30pm today, Friday 26 April, an Atac bus hit a Skoda Flavia regularly parked along the pavement at number 109. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
As far as we know, the accident occurred due to the bus driver becoming ill and losing control of the vehicle which crashed into the Skoda, which was seriously damaged along with two other cars.

The 118 medics were on site and provided first aid to the driver, who got off the vehicle which was not in perfect condition. Rome Local Police officers were also on site to investigate the case, after which the bus was removed and traffic was restored.
It should be noted that the situation of the stretch of via degli Orti della Farnesina between via Ranuccio Farnese and via dei Giuochi Istmici, due to the poor distribution of parking, the variable dimensions of the roadway which encourage wild parking, the absence of street furniture adequate and the current unreasonable positioning of the bins, is not very good for traffic purposes.
It is therefore important to remember that in October 2023, a resolution was approved by the Council of Municipality Among the various proposals, that of banning parking on one of the two sides.
