You can’t always get what you want… unless of course you want to hang out with astronauts at the NASA headquarters.

Mick Jagger made a pre-tour pit stop in Houston ahead of the Rolling Stones’ upcoming April 28 Hackney Diamonds Tour kickoff in the city, and he posted all about it on Instagram.

“Thanks @nasa for being so welcoming to us and great to be shown around by astronauts Josh Cassada, Bob Hines and Jessica Meir,” the group’s frontman, 80, captioned his post.

In the photos shared on Friday, April 26, Jagger showed off just what he got to experience at the Johnson Space Center, from snapping pics with a few notable astronauts to throwing on a hard hat for added safety measures.

One image shows Jagger smiling for the camera in front of mission control center, as a photo of him appeared on the big screen. He also got to try on a VR headset as he apparently explored some of the moon, as another shot shows the rocker surrounded by some neat technology.

At one point, Jagger even strapped into an apparent spacecraft simulator, as he smiled big and held on tight to his red hard hat.

“It’s so very lonely, you’re a thousand light years from home,” one commenter wrote underneath the post, quoting the Stones’ 1967 track “2000 Light Years From Home.”

While Jagger didn’t head to space during his visit, he did give an out-of-this-world shoutout to Maroon 5 on Instagram in late March, when he shared a video of himself dancing to the band’s 2011 hit “Moves Like Jagger .”

Speaking to Jimmy Fallon Hon The Tonight Show weeks later, lead singer Adam Levine described the moment as “really surreal” for him.

“It’s just one of those things you’re like, ‘Oh my, like how is this possible? What is happening? It’s bizarre,'” Levine told Fallon.

Levine added that, at the time of the song’s release, he was “the only idiot crazy enough to say that I have the moves like Jagger.” Still, even with such a big acknowledgment on social media, he says only a few people flagged the latest Jagger video his way by him.

“My mom and like one of my friends sent me the video,” Levine said. “I was shocked not more people felt it to me.”

The Rolling Stones’ latest run of shows kicks off on Sunday, April 28 in Houston, before the group makes its way to New Orleans, Las Vegas, Seattle and beyond.
