The mayor of Ceppaloni expresses solidarity with the parish priests and faithful involved in an accident yesterday

We receive and publish the letter from the mayor of Ceppaloni, Dr. Claudio Cataudo, addressed to the parish priests Don Silvio Pepiciello, Don Lorenzo Verrecchia and to all the faithful involved in a road accident yesterday while they were headed to Rome for the Pope’s national meeting with Catholic Action throughout Italy.

I would like to express my deepest solidarity and closeness to all those who were involved in the accident that occurred yesterday morning on the A1 motorway, between the Ceprano and Frosinone toll booths, which involved a group of pilgrims from Ceppalone heading to Rome for the meeting national of the Pope with the Catholic action of all Italy.

It was a moment of great apprehension and concern for all of us, but we are grateful that no one suffered serious injuries, just a scare. The safety and well-being of our fellow citizens and everyone on our roads is our top priority, and we are grateful for the timely intervention of the relevant authorities.

We hope that this incident has left no lasting trauma in the hearts and minds of the pilgrims involved, and that they can continue their journey of faith with renewed courage and determination.

Our thoughts go out to all those involved in this event and their families. We are here to offer our support and solidarity in any way we can. With best wishes for a speedy recovery.
