NEWS. Accident in Vidor: car overturns, traffic blocked
This morning shortly after 7.00, an accident paralyzed traffic in Vidor and the surrounding municipalities. A BMW overturned on its own in via Montegrappa, in the Passo Calchera area, knocking down the wall on the sides of the road. The Carabinieri intervened on site to investigate the case. The accident caused considerable inconvenience, blocking traffic both in the direction of Moriago della Battaglia and towards Covolo and Bigolino. The tow truck intervened to remove the damaged vehicle, while the mayor of Vidor, Mario Bailo, was present to carry out the necessary checks.
NEWS. The bomb threat goes off in the park in the country: the bomb squad intervenes
Alarm yesterday, 25 April, in Paese due to the presence of a possible war device in the public park in Via della Constitution. The presence of a possible bomb was reported, the green area was immediately closed to the public yesterday afternoon. This morning, April 26, the bomb squad intervened to check the case and ruled out any type of danger from the suspicious object. It was just a rubber object, perhaps a dog toy. Therefore, after 24 hours, excluding any danger, the public park was reopened to the public.
NEWS. Today the farewell to little Matteo who was hit by his father’s car
Today, at 3pm, the funeral of little Matteo Vidali was celebrated in the church of Dosson di Casier, who died at just one and a half years old, hit by his father’s car in the backyard. The father, Olaf Vidali, is a member and worker of the Carbonera social cooperative, which is why the president of Alternativa Ambiente Marco Toffoli has decided to suspend the activities. There were many participants this afternoon, in an atmosphere of enormous sadness.

Twenty years after the international conference Venanzio Fortunato and his time (Treviso 2001), which came ten years after the international congress Venanzio Fortunato between Italy and France (Treviso 1990), three days of studies will be held in Treviso which will take stock of the situation in the field of Fortunatian studies. Italian and foreign scholars will be present, among the major specialists in Middle Latin literature, who will present their research, discuss the most recent critical findings and communicate unpublished contributions, both on aspects already touched upon in previous conferences and on new research perspectives, including the literary and artistic fortune of poet from Valdobbiadene.
