A road accident that occurred yesterday evening in Sennori left a 16-year-old girl in critical condition. Originally from Sorso, the girl is currently hospitalized in intensive care at the civil hospital in Sassari, where she is fighting for her life after being thrown from the scooter she was traveling on. The dynamics of the accident, according to initial reconstructions, indicate that the scooter, driven by a boy who fortunately remained unharmed, skidded causing the young woman to fall and suffer serious injuries. Following the accident, the girl underwent two emergency surgeries for serious liver trauma. Faced with the severity of the young woman’s condition, her mother launched a moving appeal on social media, urging the community to donate her blood.
The need for further transfusions is urgent in view of another scheduled surgery. The civil hospital of Sassari is coordinating blood donations and invites anyone who is able to contribute to come to the hospital’s transfusion center
