Ballon d’Or 2024 – Alessandro Beltrami: “Brebbia in my heart, I gave my all. Thanks Mom”

Complete attacker. This is perhaps the most appropriate definition for the true star of Third Category Group A. Alessandro Beltrami, striker born in ’919 of the capable Brebbia, with his team 27 goalsto drag his team towards the title and direct promotion to the Second Category.

Alessandro, how did the season go?
“It was certainly an exciting and fun season. I arrived in Brebbia a bit by chance after a six-month break due to misunderstandings with my previous company. I won’t deny that other teams looked for me, but the possibility of sharing the pitch with guys I’ve known all my life and who I’m very close to dragged me into the Brebbia world and allowed me to do my best on the pitch.”

Who would you give the golden ball to among the players in Group A?
“He is not among the candidates, but one of the most impressive players in the category is by my side every Sunday and he is Fabio De Giacco. Age advances, but his talent remains the same and every time he surprises me. I would definitely award the prize to him who, among other things, is a great friend. Looking, however, at other teams, I believe that Virtus Bisuschio has a truly reliable player in Semiljon Hoxhaj. His flexibility amazed me: wherever you put him on the pitch he does well.”

What was your best game this year?
“If I see the film of the season again, I can say I am truly satisfied with the path I went through, in every single race. If I really have to choose, however, the first match against Mercallo comes to mind, when, out of necessity, I played with a strain and, despite this, I managed to score a brace that contributed to our 3-0 victory . One of the matches against Cittiglio also comes to mind. I scored two goals and had two more disallowed: I felt really good.”

Who is your Idol?
“Without a doubt Luis Suarez. It is the completeness of a person: strong in the head, in the feet, fast and precise in his insertions, stubborn enough and, above all, a goalscorer. I have always been inspired by him.”

If you won, who would you dedicate this award to?
“I would dedicate it to my mother. Even though she isn’t always attached to the camp net to cheer me on Sundays, she has never let me lack her support. This year she would have liked to participate more by coming to camp more often, but her health problems slowed her down. Her support is an extra strength for me. Then I couldn’t help but dedicate it to my girlfriend who has never abandoned me this season.”
