A fatal inattention, which in an instant turned into tragedy. In Conegliano, a 68-year-old man, Renato Sagui, fell from the fourth floor of the building where he lived, in via Tirindelli. The 68-year-old, who had gone outside to smoke, lost his life instantly, remaining lifeless on the asphalt of the walkway that runs alongside the condominium, between the garages and the access door to the building. The alarm was raised by his wife, who immediately alerted the emergency services in the hope that the doctors could save her husband. But there was nothing that could be done. When paramedics arrived on site they found that the man was already dead. The injuries sustained in the flight of approximately 12 meters were too serious. At that point the wife, in shock, felt ill and was helped by paramedics.

The first hypotheses on the reconstruction of what happened

The police from the local station were on site and tried to investigate what had happened. At home at the time of the tragedy, only his wife who, with extreme difficulty, explained that Sagui had gone out on the terrace to smoke a cigarette and drink a drink. It was just after 11pm on Wednesday. A few moments and the woman heard a dull noise, a thud, which scared her and made her run outside where she made the terrible discovery of her. The military personnel checked whether there were reasons to justify a possible extreme gesture. One hypothesis is that the very tall man accidentally lost his balance given that the parapet is particularly low and does not even measure one metre. It seems that Renato Sagui leaned on the railing with his back and accidentally flew down.
