VIADANA – Ribbon cutting yesterday for the Arena Spettacoli closed for years but now returns to being a point of reference for citizens and beyond. A special day which also saw the return of “Save the Bobby”, which migrated to Boretto in recent years.
The entire council was present at the inauguration as well as the parish vicar Don Andrea Bani for the blessing.
“Yesterday was an important day for Viadana – commented the mayor, Nicola Cavatorta – because in the presence of the civil, military and religious authorities, and of various voluntary associations who then gathered in the adjacent building which houses the sports clubs, which was also refurbished thanks to the contribution obtained for Urban Regeneration from the Lombardy Region and from resources internal, we inaugurated the show arena that had been closed for years”.
“Together with this important result achieved thanks to the commitment of the Administration and the Municipal Offices – continues the Mayor – in these two days of celebrations, it is worth mentioning the return to Viadana, precisely in these spaces, of the “Save The Bobby” party in the credit for its implementation goes to all the volunteers involved. A special greeting to the councilor for public works Ivan Gualerzi who deserves credit for the work carried out and for always believing in it”.
The Arena, managed by the Municipality, will also be available to local associations and private individuals for the organization of evenings and events. The works cost half a million, of which 392 thousand euros came from the Lombardy Region and the redevelopment also involved the Baden-Powell Park.
