Here we are in a house, in which there are those who have given their lives to create a world of justice, a world of peace and equality. I don’t dwell much on the past, because we must be faithful to those who gave their lives for a world of justice, from which a wonderful Constitution was born, which must be applied seriously. The first article states that Italy is a democratic republic founded on work and let’s see how working people are treated there are many who don’t even have a job, let’s look at healthcare, perhaps we are even lucky here… As far as war is concerned, I have fought and will fight to destroy the weapons that are there; sending weapons around means sending to death children who are not guilty, be they Ukrainians, Russians, Israelis, Palestinians, Kurds, Sahrawis, people my friends, I have been waiting for their freedom for 40 years. This April 25th tells us that we must fight to create justice. There is still so much to do. I go to schools a lot and I tell the kids: ‘You are the partisans, partisan doesn’t mean walking around with a rifle, but being on the side of justice, solidarity, peace and needs you'”.
