The dear fuel “turns on” the Puglia. The Heel of Italy continues to be among the regions in which gas And diesel they cost more on average: the situation is increasingly difficult for Apulian motorists and for those who have chosen to spend the holidays between the end of April and the beginning of next month in the Apulian territory. On the day of Liberation Day, for example, the average surveys completed by the Fuel Price Observatory of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy also photographed in Puglia a situation that is certainly not simple for motorists. The average price of petrol in “served” mode is over two euros, 2,082 euros to be precise, a value that drops to 1,921 euros for “self”. On the other hand, yesterday, the diesel supplied by the service pump employee cost an average of 1,948 euros, and 1,783 euros if the driver himself took care of the refueling.

Prices

Going into the specifics of prices, the most expensive petrol on average is in the province of Taranto with a value of 2,110 euros per litre; followed by Lecce, average “served” price of 2,090 euros, Bari and Brindisi, provinces in which 100 centiliters of greenery costs on average 2,084 per litre. Cheapest petrol in the Bat: here the average cost calculated is equal to 2,054 per litre. Taranto also takes first place on the podium for the average cost of diesel, 1,979 euros/l. Prices are slightly more convenient in Lecce (1,957 euros per litre), Brindisi with an average value of 1,942 euros per litre. You save a little more in the Bari area (1,940 euros/l) and in the Bat, an area where on average diesel costs “only” 1,914 euros per litre. However, if we look carefully at the numbers of Mimit’s Fuel Price Observatory, we can see how in a multitude of cases fuel prices have significantly breached the threshold of two euros per liter in the “served” mode. If in Taranto a plant supplies petrol at the price of 2,547 euros and diesel at 2,471 euros per litre, in the other provinces peaks are reached between 2,329 euros in Lecce and 2,294 euros in the Bat for unleaded and values between 2,291 euros in the province of Brindisi and 2,189 euros/l in the province of Barletta – Andria – Trani for diesel. At the basis of the increases, which are causing motorists’ associations to speak of a “spring rush”, there is a wave of increases in raw materials. And the worst seems to be yet to come also due to the inevitable increase in demand associated with travel at the end of spring and next summer. «If it is true that the increase in fuel costs is clearly linked to war scenarios and to what is happening for example in the Suez Canal – underlines Paolo Castellana, national deputy vice-president of FIGISC, the Italian Federation of Road Fuel Equipment Managers of Confcommercio, the another serious problem is the lack of refined products in Italy. A complex issue that puts our country in an evidently difficult situation.” Castellana continues: «Over the years, four important refineries in the country have closed, some of which have been reconverted for the production of organic fuel, an expensive and still long process. And so from producers for the external market and exporters we have also become importers of refined products as well as crude oil. For a given period, the Priolo refinery in the hands of the Russian company LukOil did not produce, the only case in Europe because in other states the Russian companies never blocked production, following the international sanctions imposed on Russia after the invasion of ‘Ukraine”. For Castellana, the current situation is not one that will soon improve for motorists: «After the constant increases in prices in recent months – he points out – it is good to keep in mind how we are moving towards the months, those between the end of spring and summer, the demand for petroleum products is higher and with the increase in demand, prices are destined to remain high, if not to increase further”.
