AGI – They will be three unmissable days not only for the many fans of extra virgin olive oil but also for those who want to treat themselves to an all-round sensorial experience. These are the premises that characterize the first edition of OlivitalyMed, scheduled from Saturday 4th to Monday 6th May, at the Rocca Cilento Castle (Lustra-Salerno). The program is rich and includes a series of conferences that will touch on topics such as health, tourism, catering and the future of a product that is talked about a lot but that few actually know.
Among the participants there will be the most important players in the sector, gathered in what promises to be the most important event dedicated to EVO in the Centre-South. This is also demonstrated by the quality of the masterclasses, which will offer visitors the opportunity to discover the aromas and flavors of some of the most awarded Italian extra virgin olive oils. And they will be able to taste them in a tasting journey paired with bread, garden and sea products and desserts. Or enjoy the enchantment of a sunset, with a breathtaking view between the greenery of the Cilento and Valle di Diano National Park and the blue of the Gulf of Salerno, sipping a cocktail made more intriguing by the skilful use of EVO, on a route that for the occasion it was renamed Sunset bOILevard.

For us and for all our collaborators it also represents the opportunity to realize the dream of the head of the family Stefano, who recently passed away, the true creator of this event which also has the merit of bringing EVO back to Cilento, home of Mediterranean diet of which extra virgin olive oil is the absolute protagonist”.
It was precisely in this splendid corner of Campania Felix, in fact, that Ancel Benjamin Keys laid the foundations of the most well-known and celebrated diet in the world, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2010 and a source of inspiration for entire generations of nutritionists. A territory where extra virgin olive oil has its roots, as demonstrated by the existence of an 18th century oil mill a few steps from the Castle and whose visit is included in the price of the event ticket. Which, combined with the beautiful artistic itineraries and in this case also tasting sessions available in the castle area, will allow participants to treat themselves to an unforgettable day. OlivitalyMed also offers a business connotation, with buyers from different parts of the world who will be able to communicate with the producers present.
