“Two of our workers at the Licata office in via Giarretta were threatened with death and, at a later time, they were even subjected to a second verbal attack by the same individuals who returned to the counter with guns in their hands”. This is the story of the president of the board of directors of Aica, Carmelo Cantone, who, together with the general director Claudio Guarneri, decided to file a complaint.

“It is a very serious and unacceptable fact – added Cantone – which however does not represent an isolated case. There have been other similar precedents, again in our offices in Licata. At this point we are seriously considering the possibility of suspending the service at the Licata counter, at least until the safety of our employees is guaranteed. We will file a report with the police. It is not possible to tolerate that good workers have to jeopardize their physical safety without having the necessary protections.”
