The Yamaha of the early 90s. To maintain the racing bike look, the XSR900’s rounded LED headlight has been replaced by a more compact unit that integrates into the front. The body then uses a method of fixing to the frame that is inspired by the one used in the 80s, through a tubular structure.
The beating heart of the XSR900 GP is the popular engine 890 cc inline three-cylinder crossplane shared with “naked” sister XSR900which however, thanks to the aerodynamics optimized by the front, according to Yamaha improves performance in acceleration and maximum speed, while the ducts on the side panels are designed to expel heat from the radiator.
On a chassis level, the frame remains the aluminum Deltabox unit of the “classic” XSR900, but it was strengthened. The brakes and suspension sector, however, has been fully confirmed: Kayaba fork with upside down legs and double 298 mm disc with radial calipers at the front, double-sided swingarm with progressive linkages and single 245 mm disc at the rear.
