Csen National Cup, the Garda Karate Team wins 9 gold medals, 10 silver medals and 10 bronze medals.

The Garda Karate Team collects medals at the Csen National Cup

Great results are those achieved by the Garda Karate Team in the Csen National Cup. The latter took place in Fidenza at the Palasport Palapatrizzoli on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st April 2024, an event organized by the National Educational Sports Centre, karate sector. 130 teams took part with 2,375 athletes. The Garda Karate Team took part with 54 athletes.

A two days of great emotions and great results

In particular, on Saturday the kata and kumite competitions for brown and black belts of all categories took place. For the Garda Karate Team, 11 athletes fought and won 8 medals: 1 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze. On Sunday, however, it was the turn of the athletes with white to blue belts who took turns on the tatami in the kata, team kata, course, balloon, kumite under 10, under 12 and integrated sport competitions. For the Garda Karate Team, 43 athletes stepped on the tatami and tried to give their best.

An exceptional guest will reward the competing athletes: the Italian champion Ahmed El Sharaby, nicknamed the Jaguar; an Italian karateka, born in 1993, belonging to the Italian national karate team. Out of 130 teams from all over Italy, the ASD based in Salò he concluded the adventure in Fidenza by winning fourth place in the general classification, with 29 medals in total: 9 gold medals, 10 silver medals and 10 bronze medals.

“Furthermore, we also achieved fourth place for youth activity, for the results obtained by our athletes in the balloon and course competitions – the staff announced with satisfaction – An important result, in a national competition of this level, for our team. A team that is growing, that is trying to establish itself in the karate scene, led by coaches who work hard every day, every weekend, to allow their athletes to gain experiences, to create opportunities for sporting and personal growth. A team supported by a group of parents who really believe in the Garda Karate Team, willing to accompany their children even far from home in the name of this reality and this sport which is certainly not among the most nationally popular”.
