In a location of extraordinary beauty that will be the setting for the initiative, exactly the splendid one Rocca Cilento Castle (Lustra – Salerno), from Saturday 4th to Monday 6th May an unmissable three-day event will take place for green gold enthusiasts but also for those who want to treat themselves to an all-round sensorial experience.
The program is packed and will unfold through a series of conferences, master classes and tastings dedicated to the main product of the Mediterranean Diet. The opening will be in style with a concert of knowledge and flavors with the Maestro Peppe Vessicchio. The conferences will touch on very important and varied topics, such as health, tourism, catering and the future of a product that is talked about a lot but that few actually know. The profile of the participants is very high, practically all the most important players in the sector, gathered in what promises to be the most important event dedicated to extra virgin olive oil in the Centre-South.
The masterclasses will also be of high quality and will offer visitors the opportunity to discover the aromas and flavors of some of the most awarded Italian extra virgin olive oils. Furthermore, they will be able to taste the same products in a tasting session paired with bread, garden and sea products and desserts. Or even enjoy the enchantment of a sunset, with a breathtaking view between the greenery of the Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park and the blue of the Gulf of Salerno, sipping a cocktail made more intriguing by the skilful use of EVO oil, on a route that was renamed for the occasion Sunset bOILevard.

A sort of hub capable of satisfying the needs of experts but without forgetting to offer this precious product also to simple enthusiasts and novices. For us and for all our collaborators it also represents the opportunity to realize the dream of the head of the family Stefano, who recently passed away, the true creator of this event who also has the merit of bringing EVO oil back to Cilento, home of the Mediterranean Diet of which the ‘extra virgin olive oil is the absolute protagonist”.
In fact, it was precisely in this splendid corner of Campania that Felix Ancel Benjamin Keys laid the foundations of the best known and most celebrated diet in the world, the Mediterranean diet, Unesco Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2010 and a source of inspiration for entire generations of nutritionists. A territory where extra virgin olive oil has its roots, as demonstrated by the existence of an 18th century oil mill a few steps from the Castle and whose visit is included in the price of the event ticket. Which, combined with the beautiful artistic itineraries and in this case also tasting sessions available in the castle area, will allow participants to treat themselves to an unforgettable day.
Furthermore, the event offers a business connotation, with buyers from different parts of the world who will be able to dialogue with the producers present.
