“The peace that is missing in the world –
was the reflection of councilor Fabrizi – it is increasingly threatened even in our cities which are called to the responsibility of building peace in the small things of every day with an eye towards the horizon of the epochal critical issues of our time. An important reflection concerns the role that cities can play in making their territories “sites of peace”. AND It is true that great challenges require specific skills, but it is equally true that these fall into everyone’s daily life and require participation and personal commitment. Everything is connected, we are interdependent, it is no longer possible to think of ourselves as separate, we need to network and network.”

Pope Francis spoke of a great “collective dream” and addressed the mayors and the administrators present drew attention to the priority of peace and care which must guide government actions as a priority to transform the future and for a better future for all.
